1. Introduction

This privacy statement has been drawn up for Tjiau Jiang, located in Utrecht at Croeselaan 199–203.

Tjiau Jiang may process the following personal data:

• Contact details such as first name, last name, company name, telephone number (mobile number), and business and/or private email address.

How do we obtain your personal data?
We have obtained the above-mentioned personal data either directly from you or from public registers, such as the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK), or other public sources (e.g. social media).

 

5. Purposes

We process your personal data only when permitted under the GDPR and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG), and for the purposes described below.

Responses

If you leave a response on our website under a blog post, we process your name. This data will in principle be retained indefinitely, unless the blog post is removed from the website or you submit a request for deletion.

We have a legitimate interest in retaining these responses, especially where replies have been posted by us or third parties.

Contact

If you contact us by phone, email, contact form, or social media, we process the data you provide in order to respond to your message. We retain this data for a maximum of five (5) years, for example to see when we last had contact, what it concerned, and how you responded. This is in our legitimate interest to provide better service and prioritize effectively.

Quotations

If you request a quotation from us, we process your company and personal data in order to prepare and send a tailored quotation. Quotations are retained for eight (8) years, in accordance with our statutory administrative obligations and for internal reference purposes.

Invoicing

If you place an order with us, we process the data necessary to execute the order. This includes your name, email address, and other information required to issue a correct invoice. Upon payment, we may also receive information about the bank account used and the account holder. Quotations, invoices, and payment data are retained for eight (8) years.

Legitimate interest

In some of the above cases, we process personal data based on a legitimate interest. We carefully balance our interests—such as safeguarding our legal and evidentiary position—against the privacy interests of the data subject. We do not process more data than necessary to achieve these purposes.

 

6. Who processes the personal data?

Personal data is processed exclusively by employees of Tjiau Jiang, insofar as necessary for the performance of their duties.

Personal data is processed only insofar as it is adequate, relevant, and not excessive in relation to the purposes described in section 5.

Tjiau Jiang maintains confidentiality with regard to personal data, unless disclosure is required by law or arises from the performance of its duties.
